For working in projects, I would say I am both a major asset and an inconvenience, I am one to immediately come up with many ideas to apply to the promo at hand.
I am a creative thinker, to me this means I think outside the box, or think beyond what might even be considered doable. And an example of when I did this, and used this style of thinking is when, in my science project, I had the idea of making an insane party, and there was many thins i wanted it to do, I’m very in the mindset of well figure it out. Which is kind of hard. I am also very much so a risk taker, and can make a deep of faith thinking it’ll all be alright. I think that this can be helpful in a project but also really hard to work with someone who is constantly changing things randomly. Some things I have trouble with are analytical thinking, and persistence. With analytical thinking this comes into play with math, science, or anything that is concrete. And it is hard to be a risk taker and also have this in ability to have a strength in persistence. So I have hundreds of projects I’ve started and failed to finish. SO I have a mix between wanting to go above and beyond and not being persistent enough to stay with something, and always having really cool new ideas that I’m exited about pursuing.

I would love for this project to develop slightly like we had envisioned it. We would like our exhibition to become very haunted house-like. I want people to become truly educated and amazed by the work we are doing in the ninth grade.
Theres this kind of hope that I have, that people will leave the exhibition with a different outlook on life and a different outlook on change. I want my parents to not only be proud of my work but our work to create a cohesive exhibit to imply that media, family, institution, peers, religion, etc, are major factors into how we see the world. I would like to show adults who have already been through institution that they are being positively and negatively socialized every day, and that although you cannot stop it, you can become aware of it, and sort out what you choose to keep, and retain. I also hope that a very educated person in the realm of sociology can walk into our exhibition and be not only impressed but also maybe learn something new. I know it’s pretty far fetched, but I believe youth is always expanding our knowledge through social media and our friends and that we do have knowledge we can teach. We need to fact check all of our script, essays, and just what we are saying so that we are not just spewing information that anyone can pull up on there iPhones and not know what is true or not. We also should probably get in a sociology professor to come before the exhibition and help us refine our work. With hope, have a lovely day- Jade Today, we are going to find what we want to do for the exhibition. This project we have been studying socialization, the process in which we have been formed to be the people we are with the ideas that we have. And our goal for the exhibition is to show our community what is going on beyond the framework, and show them the direction for change. We are trying to make positive changes in acceptance and thinking about all the information you are processing. We are trying to show the effects of media, institution, religion, and family, etc.
Im really exited just to have such an interactive exhibition, and have something that parents and community might be really exited to attend. I’m excited about the entertainment factor in this exhibition. I would love to work on construction/costumes/artwork/design. I think that really the way you talk to your group members matter so much more that the productivity, because of how much they correlate, if someone feels respected they are much more likely to put out they’re best work. My group was large but we pulled through in the end, and our idea/prototype for the exhibition was chosen. This is the first blog in a series for me, a four year series that will enrapture what I’m doing every week. |
